Charming Beaches
One of the main reasons for coming to Conil is to see long white stretches of beach backed by a white Andalusian village. It boasts 14km of unspoilt beach beauty. If we add to all this the evening light, we find the favorite spot of many locals and visitors.

Iglesia de Santa Catalina

Santa Catalina church
Located opposite Torre Guzman, the church is an important icon in the village. Built in the 15th century although it has undergone several face lifts, It was parish priest Francisco de Paula Fernández-Caro who was responsible for it’s current look. The church gave it’s name to the square and gardens surrounding it. It is a great square to admire some of the best features of the village while enjoying some tapas.

Puerta de la Villa
Considered the nerve centre of Conil and y enter and exit point to the village. Built in the 16th century, as part of the fortress encircling the village.

Cementerio de Anclas

Anchor’s cemetery
The place storages the anchors used every year for the ‘almadrabas’ or traps to capture tuna fish. When the fishing season finishes, the anchors are placed back in the cemetery.

Puerto pesquero

Fishing port
One highly recommended visit to see the fishing boats used to place the tuna traps or ‘Almadraba’, and other kind of fishing boards. Located next to Roche lighthouse, between Calas de Roche and Cala del Aceite.
